Drought and rising costs make irrigation a harder call every season. That is why the campaign's second theme asks a simple question: when to irrigate, and how much?

How do you decide when to irrigate? Soil moisture readings, the weather forecast, experience, the irrigation association's schedule or something else? If you have switched to drip or sprinkler irrigation, what changed and what was difficult? Do you know the pH and salinity of your irrigation water?
